About

I am a warm and compassionate Chartered Clinical Psychologist registered with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).  I am based in Exeter and work with adults with anxiety and mood difficulties in individual therapy. My priority is creating a safe and non-judgemental space to help people feel comfortable sharing their concerns and for people to feel heard and supported. I work collaboratively with individuals to develop a shared understanding of the factors that may have contributed to their challenges and any patterns that may be hindering them moving forward. We work together to navigate through difficulties, seeking to ease distress and build a path forward to live more in line with their hopes and values.

I have worked in mental health services within the NHS for over 10 years. My main approach is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and I incorporate ideas from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT) and Narrative Therapy where these may be helpful. I am bound by the British Psychological Society (BPS) Code of Ethics and Conduct and the HCPC Standards of conduct, performance and ethics. I use evidence based interventions.

I am available within working hours on Monday, Tuesday & Thursdays.
